This certification, administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), recognizes projects that meet high standards for ecosystem services, resource conservation, and social and environmental sustainability. SITES-certified projects demonstrate best practices in soil management, water conservation, native plant use, habitat protection, and human health benefits. Achieving SITES certification involves earning credits in categories such as site context, pre-design assessment, site design, and operations and maintenance. For landscape and masonry projects, SITES certification is a mark of excellence in sustainable design, ensuring that the project contributes positively to the environment and the community.
